Air Max Day 2018 Sean Wotherspoon AM1/97:

LIVE SCREENPRINTING EVENT 2018

Event Overview:

In celebration of Air Max Day 2018, Nike approached Shoe Gallery with a request to curate a distinctive event for the release of the Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97. Drawing inspiration from the live screen printing activation witnessed at Complexcon in November 2017, Saibot Studio took the lead in crafting a memorable experience.

Collaboration & Concept:

Partnering with the budding independent print shop, AAO, Saibot Studio devised a concept that resonated with the essence of the Sean Wotherspoon Air Max 1/97. Recognizing Wotherspoon's passion for vintage fashion and thrifting, the team designed a faux thrift store T-shirt. This served as a canvas for attendees, allowing them to infuse their creativity using a curated selection of licensed Nike x Sean Wotherspoon artwork.

Event Highlights:

Customization Galore: Attendees had the unique opportunity to transform standard T-shirts into personalized masterpieces, choosing from an array of approved designs.

Exclusive Offers: Those fortunate enough to secure the coveted sneakers were treated to a complimentary T-shirt, further enhancing the exclusivity of the event.

Engaging the Masses: Beyond the lucky winners, Air Max Day visitors could also partake in the T-shirt customization experience with the purchase of any Air Max.

Outcome:

The event was heralded as a resounding success. Not only did it offer a fresh retail experience, but it also transformed everyday shoppers into artists for a day. The fusion of art, fashion, and retail provided attendees with an unforgettable Air Max Day, reinforcing Shoe Gallery's reputation as a trailblazer in unique customer experiences.

Apocalypse Awareness Live Screen Printing Event @ ShoeGallery

Date: October 2018

Organized by: Saibot Studio

Artists:

Remmy Rivera (Saibot Studio founder/Nuclear Theme)

MostVile Andres (Hurricane theme)

Konner Scroggins (Rising Sea Levels theme)

Event Overview:

In a bid to raise awareness about potential environmental apocalyptic events that could impact South Florida, Saibot Studio orchestrated a live screen printing event at ShoeGallery. This unique event brought together three talented artists, each tasked with illustrating a distinct catastrophic scenario:

Nuclear Catastrophe by Remmy Rivera: Highlighting the potential aftermath of an assault on our neighboring nuclear power facility, Turkey Point. This segment offered a live screen printing experience, enabling attendees to personalize their items with a range of striking designs that underscored the looming threat.

Hurricane Havoc by MostVile Andres: Drawing attention to hurricanes potentially intensified by weather manipulation. Participants had the opportunity to engage in a live screen printing session, choosing from various designs that captured the storm's fury.

Rising Sea Levels by Konner Scroggins: Addressing the imminent threat of flooding due to escalating sea levels. In a symbolic twist, this theme was represented not by screen printing, but by a dyeing process, cleverly linking the concept back to the element of water.

Objective:

The event aimed to blend artistry with activism, using the allure of design to spotlight grave environmental concerns. Through interactive experiences and thought-provoking themes, attendees were not only treated to a visual feast but also prompted to reflect on the pressing ecological challenges facing South Florida.
